THE WILDLIFE ART SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL – VISITS 2018
Enjoy sketching or photographing together, watching wildlife both wild and captive. Whenever possible, car-sharing will be suggested to share fuel costs. Meet at 11am. This year by request, some visits are mid-week.
MAGOR MARSH SSSI, near Newport, South Wales, NP26 3DD – Sunday 25th March www.gwentwildlife.org
Join Gwent Wildlife Trust Rangers on a walk by the coast & look for fantastic wildlife of the Severn Estuary. 11am – 4pm. Starts from Car Park at Magor, to Goldcliff, 11km (about 6 miles). Unique opportunity to see wildfowl & waders on the mud flats, coastal scenery, with plenty of time to stop & look at various features and species. Transport back from Goldcliff to Magor. Spaces limited, – let Sarais know ASAP.

Unique venue for British wildlife in natural surroundings, 40 species – red squirrel, fox, wildcat, otter, deer, polecat, owls. Talks every 30 mins. Coffee shop. No Dogs. Adults £11.50, Senior £10.50

Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust centre in the Fens. Walks, hares, owls, & many hides including heated main one. Autumn migrants . “Swan” feed to watch flocks of Bewick & Whooper swans, ducks & geese. Adult £8.70 (Giftaid), Seniors £7.40 (Giftaid) Café. No Dogs.
We shall probably also have a Christmas Get-Together at Slimbridge – date in December to be arranged.
